Approximately 9-15% of Americans (that’s 30-40 million people!) have some dental anxiety or even dental phobia—so if you’re one of them, you are in good company. Blue Wave Dental offers a full menu of sedation options to help you get the care you need, comfortably.

Sedation dentistry isn’t about getting a patient into the chair and rendering them unconscious—that idea could make even the calmest patient a little jumpy. We’re here to tell you that is not the way dental sedation works. Dr. Nisenboym offers conscious sedation options, one of which is the IV method.
Part of choosing sedation includes a consultation prior to your procedure. Dr. Nisenboym will discuss your treatment plan with you, including the detailed pros and cons of sedation. If you have chosen oral sedation, he will give you a prescription for a sedative to take on the day of your procedure.
Dr. Nisenboym holds a permit allowing him to administer IV sedation in-office—a certification not usually acquired by most general dentists. Without the need for an additional anesthesiology professional, patient costs are kept lower—and your dental services can be completed in our office for optimal convenience and comfort.
Dr. Nisenboym also offers oral sedation and nitrous oxide to reduce dental-related stress. These methods are commonly used for generalized dental fear and anxiety but also provide extra relaxation for almost any dental procedure, including hygiene appointments. The most important thing to us is that you feel at ease!
